ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has created a powerful, thin and light ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) gaming laptop, which is already on sale in Ukraine. This device received a new aluminum case, Slash Lighting matrix illumination on the lid and a new Platinum White color option. Thanks to components with Intel and NVIDIA artificial intelligence algorithm acceleration modules, gamers and creators will reach new heights of performance with the ROG Zephyrus G16. The Zephyrus G16 is equipped with an OLED ROG Nebula display with high accuracy of color reproduction and support for G-SYNC technology. With a highly efficient cooling system with three fans, liquid metal and evaporation chambers (in some configurations), the laptop easily copes with various workloads, despite the ultraportable design.

New case design

The Zephyrus G16 2024 model has been revamped both externally and internally. It now features an entirely new, fully aluminum case, manufactured on a CNC machine, resulting in the optimal combination of lightweight, high structural strength and increased interior space. This allowed for the keyboard to be positioned at a minimal distance from neighboring components, as well as larger and louder speakers with excellent low-frequency reproduction (up to 100 Hz). The new speakers are 25% larger than the previous generation model, and their volume has increased by 47%, allowing for a more immersive sound experience than ever before. The new Zephyrus G16 also features larger keys and an enlarged touchpad for comfortable typing, smooth scrolling, and precise control in games. Along with the Zephyrus G16 2024, a three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass is offered, providing access to a library of hundreds of games.

On the lid of the Zephyrus G16 (2024) case, there is a new Matrix LED backlighting called Slash Lighting. The Zephyrus G16 is only 1.49 cm thick and weighs just 1.85 kg.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies

The Zephyrus G16 is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor with AI computing power of 11 trillion operations per second (TOPS). Additionally, it features the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU. With support for AI tools such as Omniverse and Stable Diffusion, users can bypass long queues in the cloud and generate images locally in just a few seconds. With hardware AI acceleration, video editing and 3D rendering can be performed more than twice as fast as before, consuming less energy, which helps save battery life. With full access to the latest AI acceleration technologies, the laptop can easily handle the most advanced creative and gaming software.

The first ROG laptop with an OLED display

The era of OLED has arrived. The new generation Zephyrus G16 laptops are equipped with OLED panels, which are used for the first time in ROG gaming laptops. The display with a 2.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 240 Hz ensures clear imagery in dynamic games. The laptops feature leading OLED panels with support for G-SYNC technology, which guarantees image clarity in dynamic scenes even with sharp frame rate drops. This was made possible through a partnership with Samsung and NVIDIA.

ROG Nebula OLED panels have everything gamers need: a convenient 16:10 aspect ratio, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, and certification for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 standards. The OLED panel reproduces true black color, which makes HDR content and games truly immersive. These displays also boast 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and color reproduction accuracy with a Delta E less than 1. So, the displays are suitable not only for gaming but also for content creators who require color accuracy. A fast response time of 0.2 ms during gray-to-gray transitions practically eliminates halos and ensures the highest quality image in games.

Highly efficient cooling

Powerful laptops in a thin case require a highly efficient cooling system, and the Zephyrus G16 incorporates a range of cutting-edge intelligent cooling technologies (ROG Intelligent Cooling) that provide an advantage over competitors. A high-performance liquid metal thermal interface on the central processor and second-generation Arc Flow Fans efficiently dissipate heat from the case. Additionally, the Tri-fan technology is available, utilizing a third auxiliary fan to create airflow over surface-mounted components on the motherboard and to dissipate heat from the graphics processor, thereby enhancing cooling efficiency. Moreover, the new models of Zephyrus G16 with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 for laptops are equipped with a dedicated vapor chamber and two fans for reliable cooling of flagship components.
